Prince William and Princess Kate's decision to skip a key royal event seemingly benefitted Prince Andrew to reunite with the royal family.
For the unversed, the Prince and Princess of Wales did not attend the Easter Service at St George's Chapel in order to prioritise quality time with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The future King's absence from Windsor Castle made the Duke of York's royal comeback "easier" as William did not go together with him.
In conversation with The Sun, royal expert Phil Dampier claimed that it is now "only a matter of time" in Andrew's return as a working royal.
He shared that King Charles "doesn't want him to be completely outcast. It was very much a show of family unity. He's not totally out in the cold, but I think it's too early to say it's any kind of comeback for him."
Speaking of Andrew's future in William's future reign, Phil claimed that the Prince of Wales is one of the" driving forces behind making sure there's no future for the Duke of York."
The father-of-three does not "believe" in Sarah Ferguson's ex-husband's return as there is "quite a lot of friction between them."
"It made it a lot easier, I think, for Andrew that William wasn't there," the royal commentator shared about how beneficial William's absence from the Easter event helped Andrew.
