As Prince Andrew continues to dominate headlines over his decision to stop using his royal titles, new insight has emerged into how his younger brother, Prince Edward, truly feels about him.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 61, is said to be fully supportive of King Charles’s hardline approach to Andrew’s controversies, despite their once-close sibling bond.
According to royal author Christopher Andersen, Edward’s loyalty lies firmly with the King.
“Andrew bullied his little brother when they were younger,” Andersen told Us Weekly.
“But they grew closer over the years. Still, Edward has no choice but to fully support Charles in his efforts to rid himself of the problematic Duke of York.”
The King’s decision to take a stronger stance followed mounting pressure over Andrew’s continued connection to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Both Princess Anne and Prince Edward reportedly back the King’s decision.
