Prince William and Princess Kate paid a heartfelt tribute to someone close to their hearts.
On the occasion of the late Liz Hatton's 18th birthday, Kensington Palace shared the Prince and Princess of Wales' emotional message in a bid to honour the teen girl who lost her life to a rare form of cancer.
The royal couple wrote, "Remembering Liz Hatton today on what would have been her 18th birthday."
"The photo shown in this image was taken by @lizhatton_photography during an Investiture at Windsor Castle in October 2024, and is on display today in the spot where it was taken."
It is important to note that Liz, an aspiring photographer, died fighting a rare sarcoma, a desmoplastic small round cell tumour, in November 2024.
William and Catherine, after knowing her desire to cover a royal event, invited the teen to Windsor Castle in October 2024. Her clicked portrait was displayed at the royal home.
On Liz's passing, the Prince and Princess of Wales also released a heartwarming statement, praising the "brave and humble young woman." They extended condolences to her parents on their precious loss.
