Kate Middleton must have been relieved with her and Prince William's decision to relocate due to one major reason.
For the unversed, the Prince and Princess of Wales are moving from their old house, Adelaide Cottage, to their 'forever home', Forest Lodge.
It has been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's residence is a 10-minute drive from Kate and William's new place, which could be a huge support in the coming days.
Duchess Sophie would be happy to provide helping hands to the future King and Queen, especially for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in their absence.
As per GB, a royal expert Sean Smith said, "They remain the best of friends. They have always been two middle-class girls from the country battling their way through the etiquette and traditions of the Royal Family."
He added, "They do not live in each other’s pockets. Kate has three young children to occupy her attention, but the Waleses' new home, Forest Lodge, is little more than a 10-minute drive from Bagshot Park, so Sophie is near to help and support when she can."
While recalling a heartfelt moment shared between Sophie and Catherine, the royal commentator shared that the Duchess of Edinburgh placed a hand on Kate's back during a key royal event.
“She was there to support Kate on the balcony of the Foreign Office in Whitehall in November 2024, a couple of months after the Princess announced she had finished chemotherapy treatment," he shared.
Sophie has dubbed a 'comforter' to Princess Kate in the royal family.
