Prince Edward

Prince Edward-Duke of Edinburgh

Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, was born on March 10, 1964. He is the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and the youngest brother of King Charles III. When Edward was born, he was third in line to the British throne, but now he is 15th.

Edward went to Jesus College, Cambridge, and finished his studies in 1986 with a degree in Arts. After that, he joined the Royal Marines but left because he wanted to do something else.

In 1993, Edward started his own TV production company called Ardent Productions. He made some documentaries and dramas, but it was not very well received by many due to his ties to the Royal family. People speculated that he used his royal name to make money. Some other people simply said the company was not good.

He met his now-wife Sophie Rhys-Jones at a work event. Later, they met again at a photo shoot for the Prince Edward Summer Challenge, and they started dating. In December 1998, Edward asked Sophie to marry him during a holiday in the Bahamas. He gave her a beautiful ring with two heart-shaped stones.

They got married in 1999, and reports suggest the couple has one of the happiest royal marriages. Edward and Sophie have two children, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex.

In March 2023, King Charles gave Edward the title "Duke of Edinburgh,” which previously belonged to their father, Prince Philip, on the occasion of his 59th birthday

Edward also does charity work and supports many good causes. He is involved with different organizations that help young people, education, and people with disabilities. Edward is the patron of many charities and often attends events to raise money and awareness.
