As A-level results land across the UK, we will take a look at how senior royals stacked up in their student days, from straight-talking O-levels to uni degrees.
Spoiler: the top spot isn’t who you think. Let's take a look at how the royals fared:
Prince Edward, was at the top of the table, with nine O-levels, three A-levels (English, History, Politics) and a 2:2 in History from Cambridge put Edward firmly in first.
Princess Anne, had six O-levels and three A-levels (English, History, Politics). No fuss, high standards, classic Princess Royal.
Prince Andrew got six O-levels plus A-levels in English, History and Politics, following the Gordonstoun route.
King Charles III, got five O-levels, A-levels in History (B) and French (C), then a 2:2 in History at Cambridge.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry in his A-levels got B in Art, D in Geography. Skipped uni for a decade-long Army career after a globe-trotting gap year.
Queen Camilla, recieved one O-level; no A-levels. Finished schooling in Switzerland and Paris at finishing schools.
For Diana, Princess of Wales, academics weren’t her lane, she failed O-levels twice, but she shone in sport and deportment at finishing school in Switzerland before becoming the People’s Princess.
