Meghan Markle was born on August 4, 1981 in Los Angeles, California to parents Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland. She began her career as an actress and was best known for her role as Rachel Zane in the seven-season American legal TV show Suits. The actress also managed a lifestyle blog, The Tig, from 2014 to 2017 where she covered not just fashion but other areas like social justice and women’s issues. She went on to marry film producer Trevor Engelson in 2011 but divorced in 2014.
Meghan became a highly-publicised figure upon her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018 and received the title of Duchess of Sussex. She subsequently quit her acting career in order to serve as a member of the royal family. However Meghan and Harry, in 2020, decided to step down as working royals in pursuit of a more private life in California. There, she and her husband founded a non-profit organization Archewell Inc and went on the release a picture book for kids titled The Bench. She also launched a podcast, which is called Archetypes and its available on spotify, the podcast Archetype did not perform well and its yet to be decided if it will be renewed for season 2.
She also releases a Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, centering around her past life as a royal. Currently, she resides in Montecito, California with Prince Harry and their two children Archie and Lilibet.
