King Charles braces for scandal with 'warts and all' Prince Philip book in the works
Lownie hinted that his findings could be eye-opening, as he looks to publish a book on Prince Phillip
King Charles is facing yet another royal storm, this time not from his embattled brother, Prince Andrew, but from an upcoming “warts and all” book about his late father, Prince Philip.
Renowned biographer Andrew Lownie, who previously published bombshell works on Prince Andrew and Lord Mountbatten, has revealed he’s now turning his focus to the late Duke of Edinburgh.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Lownie confirmed: “I’ve put in all the Freedom of Information requests for a Prince Philip book already. I’m told a great deal of time after his death was spent by those in his employment burning all his papers, but I’m working very hard to get what I can.”
Lownie hinted that his findings could be eye-opening, revealing he’s already obtained Prince Philip’s school report, which was meant to remain sealed for a century.
“Times are changing. People expect more transparency from the monarchy now," he said.
