Meghan Markle to share stage with Kamala Harris at US summit

Meghan Markle is gearing up for another high-profile appearance, this time alongside former US Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, will headline Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, DC, on October 14, where she’s expected to open up about her lifestyle brand As Ever, entrepreneurship, and building a business “that will endure.”

The three-day event will also feature Kamala Harris, who’s set to discuss her presidential campaign and recent book release, alongside other powerhouse women including Selena Gomez, Kara Lawson, and Brené Brown.

Meghan’s appearance at the summit comes just days after she and Prince Harry were honoured with the Humanitarians of the Year Award at the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala in New York City.

The award recognised the couple’s work through their Archewell Foundation to create safer online spaces for young people and families.

During the emotional event, Harry revealed that 4,000 families are currently taking legal action over the harm caused by social media.

“That’s how many families the Social Media Victims Law Centre is currently representing,” he said. “Families whose children have been harmed or lost forever to social media.”
