Prince William is reportedly pulling a smart move behind palace doors as the Royal Family faces a major shortage of working royals.

According to The Daily Mail, the Prince of Wales has noticed the dwindling number of family members available to represent “The Firm” at official engagements, and he’s already found a clever solution.

Royal reporter Christopher Wilson notes that in 2011, 12 senior royals carried out nearly 3,900 engagements.

By 2024, that number had fallen to just 10 royals, with fewer than 2,200 engagements combined.

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping back, Prince Andrew sidelined, and King Charles and Princess Kate recovering from health issues, the royal bench is looking thin.

But William, 43, has reportedly been quietly calling on his cousins, including Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to help fill the gap.

Earlier this year, Eugenie joined the Prince and Princess of Wales at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, despite not being a “working royal.”

Sources suggest William’s move could reverse King Charles’s earlier stance that his nieces should not take on official roles.
