'Only Murders in the Building' Season 5 earns praise after debut

Only Murders in the Building earned praised from the streamers after its fifth season was released on September 9, 2025.

The series, which stars Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin, dropped three new episodes on Hulu with new episode coming each week.

As soon as the drama premiered on the platform, fans rushed to the X (formerly Twitter) to express their satisfaction.

One of the users admitted that they believe the new season is “the best” one yet of the show, while another claimed that the series “has received the grand rating of 100% on the Tomatometer.”

A third netizen noted that the show “has ruined me emotionally and I have fallen in love with the character.”

Meanwhile, there are many fans who just discovered that the episodes “came out” and “is streaming” on the platform. Someone penned down they are “def watching” if Selena is “in there.”

However, the poster of the drama was not liked by many after it was first unveiled as one fan maintained they are “not too impressed” by the cover.

Previously, the show was honoured at the SAG Awards held in February 2025, while it is eyeing Emmys after backing eight nominations.
