Julie Andrews' hard work paid off as her talent was recognised at the 76th Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

On September 6, the actress received the Character Voice-Over Performance award for her outstanding work as Lady Whistledown in the popular Netflix series Bridgerton.

Julie was not present to receive the award, so the presenter, Craig Robinson, accepted the trophy on her behalf.

The Princess Diaries actress has been working in the entertainment industry for 80 years. She started her career in the 1940s as a child singer.

Notably, the English actress has worked on many prominent voiceover projects over time, including Aquaman, Shrek 2, and the fan-favourite series Bridgerton.

During an interview with People in 2022, the 89-year-old revealed that although she is in the series, she has never personally met the cast of Bridgerton and all her recordings are done far, far away from the sets.

She further stated, “I think it's gorgeous looking, and they're all wonderful in it, and they're lovely people to work with, Shonda Rhimes and the whole gang down, they're terrific. And I'm thrilled that they asked me."

Moreover, the Oscar-winning actress is currently busy with the recordings of Bridgerton season 4, as it is announced to premiere in 2026.

For the unfamiliar, Julie Andrews starred in Mary Poppins in 1964 and won an Oscar for best actress in 1965.
