'Knives Out': Andrew Scott reveals brutal shooting schedule for third installment

Andrew Scott opened up about the tough filming schedule the cast had to go through for Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man.

In conversation with Variety Studio at the Toronto Film Festival, the cast sat down to discuss the third instalment in the murder mystery franchise.

Scott, who plays Lee Ross in the upcoming film, said, “We never went back to our trailers at any point while filming.”

He further added, “This is what happens when you put people in a room for 10 hours. It allowed us to bond on the set.”

Notably, Wake Up Dead Man premiered at the 2025 TIFF to critical acclaim. It follows the next adventure of detective Hercule Poirot, played by Daniel Craig, as he returns for his most dangerous case yet.

Further plot details are being kept under wraps; however, moviegoers at the festival reviewed the film to be “an intelligent Gothic delight.”

Directed and written by Rian Johnson, the whodunnit cast includes Daniel Craig, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, and Glenn Close, among others.

According to Johnson, he is preparing to expand the franchise into a TV show where the detective will solve more cosy murder mysteries.

For the unversed, Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man will be released on November 26 in theatres and December 12 on Netflix.

Is 'Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man' the last film in the franchise?

No, in September 2022, director and writer Rian Johnson revealed his intention to create more films featuring detective Hercule Poirot.
