Kate Middleton and Prince William's future home neighbour has urged the couple to think twice before leaving their current royal house Adelaide Cottage.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly decided to move their family to Forest Lodge, formerly known as Holly Grove, in Windsor before the end of this year.

The couple's future neighbours have warned them of security concerns, citing less privacy at their new home compared to current residence.

Welcoming the Waleses in advance, Jean Reeve, 87, said: "I welcome them. But I hope the public allow them to live there quietly as a family."

"It's a less private spot than their previous home, from what I know about the location. So I'd hate for people to always be going past and saying, 'Oh, that's where they live," Reeve told the Daily Mail.

She explained: "They have young children after all. They deserve privacy."

Some security measures have already been taken in the area to protect the royals from any untoward situation. A metal fence with black mesh privacy screens around the front of the house and new shrubs being planted.

Two households near the couple's future home, which is located just four miles away from Adelaide Cottage, were reportedly asked to vacate earlier this summer.

"Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they're not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there," a source told the outlet.
