Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have drawn a clear line between themselves and the rest of the Royal Family when it comes to how they raise their children, according to a PR expert.
Since stepping down from royal life in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have largely shielded Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, from the public eye.
Unlike the Prince and Princess of Wales, who regularly share official portraits of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Harry and Meghan have adopted a different approach.
PR expert Rhea Freeman told Express UK: “It might seem odd given the imagery that’s shared around of children within the Royal Family, but Harry and Meghan are not the same.”
Meghan, 44, has occasionally posted photos and videos of her children on Instagram, but she typically hides their faces with emojis or films them from behind.
“With the criticism the couple have faced, and the regular mentions around security, not showing the children’s faces on TV makes perfect sense.”
The Sussexes’ Netflix series With Love, Meghan launches tomorrow, though Archie and Lilibet are not expected to feature prominently.
