Prince Harry’s hopes for reconciliation with his family could be at risk if he proceeds with a reported Princess Diana documentary, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, has spoken openly about wanting to repair ties with his father King Charles and other royals since stepping down from royal duties in 2020.
In May, he told the BBC he wished to “stop arguing” and focus on reconciliation.
However, reports suggest Harry and Meghan Markle, 44, may be considering producing a Princess Diana documentary for Netflix in 2027, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of her tragic death.
An industry insider told The Sun: “If Harry wants to do it then Netflix will bite his hand off.”
But royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams cautioned that such a project could prove highly damaging.
He told Express.co.uk: “If the proposed documentary featured anything controversial, it would gravely endanger the reconciliation Harry has said he wants. This programme, especially now that Camilla is Queen Consort, has enormous dangers for Harry’s future relationships with his family.”
While the documentary is only in early discussions, Fitzwilliams warned it could “restart conflict” at a time when peace is crucial.
