Will Prince Andrew move out of Windsor and take over William, Kates home?

Prince Andrew’s future living arrangements have been the subject of intense speculation as calls grow for him to leave Royal Lodge, his Windsor home of more than 20 years.

The Duke of York, 65, currently resides at the £30 million mansion with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

Despite pressure from King Charles to downsize, especially after security was reduced, Andrew has so far resisted offers to relocate, including turning down Frogmore Cottage, the former home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

With Prince William and Princess Kate preparing to leave Adelaide Cottage for the larger Forest Lodge with their three children, questions have arisen over whether Andrew might move into the now-vacant four-bedroom property.

However, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk this is highly unlikely. “As things stand it seems clear that Andrew, who bought a 75-year lease of Royal Lodge in 2003, won’t be moving anywhere.

The King would like him to downsize, but he can’t be evicted so long as he satisfies the requirements of the lease.”

The expert added that Andrew’s continued presence at Royal Lodge remains “an embarrassing situation,” highlighting the monarchy’s struggle in handling the disgraced Duke.

William and Kate’s move to Forest Lodge, currently undergoing renovations, is expected before the end of the year, with the eight-bedroom estate described as their “forever home.”
