Virginia Giuffres posthumous memoir reignites Prince Andrew scandal

Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17, will have her memoir published posthumously this October, six months after her death.

Titled Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, the book will be released in the US by Knopf, a division of Penguin Random House.

Giuffre, who became one of the most high-profile survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking ring, reportedly completed the manuscript a year before her passing at her home in Australia.

Her allegations that she was trafficked to have sex with Prince Andrew three times ultimately led to the Duke of York’s withdrawal from public life after his infamous 2019 Newsnight interview. Andrew has always denied the claims and has not been charged with any crime.

According to her publisher, the memoir will detail Giuffre’s harrowing experiences with Epstein and his powerful associates, exposing systemic failures that allowed trafficking to thrive.

In an email to her co-writer Amy Wallace weeks before her death, Giuffre stressed the importance of the book’s release: “In the event of my passing, I would like to ensure that Nobody’s Girl is still released.”

The memoir is expected to spark fresh debate around Epstein, his network, and Giuffre’s allegations against the Duke of York.
