Taylor Swift, who announced her 12th studio album The Life of A Showgirl, was Blake Lively’s close friend before the onset of It Ends With Us drama.
While it is being speculated that the songstress wrote Ruin the Friendship about her bond with Blake, a source revealed the nature of their friendship.
According to People, the Bad Blood hitmaker and the Betty Buzz owner “aren’t speaking” to one another while the legal case proceeds.
The alleged rift between the two began after the pop sensation was dragged by Blake in her ongoing legal crossfire with her director Justin Baldoni.
It was claimed by the filmmaker in his now-dismissed, defamation lawsuit that the Another Simple Favor star called the Grammy winner one of her “dragons” in text messages.
The Jane the Virgin actor alleged that Blake used the influence of husband Ryan Reynolds and Taylor to introduce changes in to his script of the romantic drama.
As a result, the Lover crooner was subpoenaed by Justin in the lawsuit. However, the subpoena was later dropped.
The songstress’ spokesperson claimed that this summon was crafted to use her “name to draw public interest” instead of “focusing on the facts of the case.”
While they shared a very close bond with each other, the pair started drifting apart. This became evident as the actress was seen no-where near the singer during her achievements this year.
Instead, the Love Story song maker was usually spotted with her other pal Selena Gomez particularly after she bought the rights of her entire music catalogue.
