John Lithgow has been spotted for the first time as the Hogwarts headmaster Dumbledore.
The Harry Potter franchise is one of the biggest in the entertainment industry with a multi-billion dollar movie series already released.
Following the success of the movie series, it was revealed that a show will be made on the children’s books with an entire new cast.
It was later announced that the 79-year-old actor, who is well known for his roles in major projects like Shrek, Interstellar and Dexter, will star as the iconic professor Dumbledore.
The role was previously played by Michael Gambon and Richard Harris in the hit movies.
John looked unrecognisable in the signature Dumbledore look wearing the professor's long white hair, beard and moustache.
The actor was dressed in his wizarding robes and glasses when he was photographed on Wednesday morning in Cornwall.
The details of his outfit included a a puff sleeved blue shirt, a matching waistcoat with a gold pocket watch and velvet blue trousers.
Between the takes, the actor was spotted reading his lines and chatting with the crew.
