Paulina Porizkova went to Instagram to candidly defy beauty ideals, stating the reason that keep triggering her as a veteran star.
The 61-year-old retired supermodel was make-free in a semi-sheer slip inner and green and pink flowered bathrobe on Wednesday.
"you are still beautiful," she began. "Well, let me tell you why I find that word offensive."
According to Porizkova, it does not matter that the word beautiful is used but still, as it is a sign that women should be hanging on to the beauty of their youth in order to be relevant.
"Why is that an accomplishment that we celebrate in older women?" she went on to probe.
"If we still want a seat at the table in society, well, then we have to focus on being still. Still good looking. Still attractive. Still beautiful. Still," she noted.
The former judge of America Next Top Model has often come forward to talk about the pressure of aging and beauty.
She wrote last summer that she "almost unconsciously gravitate(s) to pictures where I look best — as in youngest, least wrinkled, least saggy."
She encouraged the women to cease being embarrassed about your age, and to "let your seasoned lady flag fly."
Since the death of her husband, Ric Ocasek, in 2019, Porizkova has been open about the topic.
She has not declared future projects yet, but is still active on social media, where she regularly writes unfiltered thoughts on life.
