American rapper Cardi B has opened up about her failed marriage to Offset.
The rapper married Offset in 2017 but their tumultuous marriage ended in 2023 after three kids.
Cardi, who is now expecting her first child with NFL player Stefon Diggs, has opened up about her estranged former husband, who she also claimed was unfaithful towards her.
Speaking on the Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, the mother-of-three confessed that the “felt the love dying” during their marriage.
“From my end, from his end … I was very lonely because I chose to be lonely”, she admitted.
The couple first filed for divorce in 2020 but eventually reconciled. Later, they filed for divorce a second time in July 2024 after confirming that they have separated in December 2023.
She explained that “It took months for the heart to say, 'You're done.' Instead of my mouth and my brain.”
The former couple share three kids, daughter Kulture Kiari, son Wave Set, and daughter Blossom Belle.
Cardi also revealed that she turned to Shakira for advice, who had been through something similar with her former partner Gerard Piqué.
