Jay-Z gave fans an unforgettable start to his 30th anniversary concert series by welcoming two very special guests to the stage Beyoncé and their daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

The rapper kicked off the celebration at New York's Yankee Stadium on Friday, July 10 treating the crowd to a series of surprise moments that honoured both his legendary career and his family's musical legacy.

During the show, Jay-Z performed his classic hit "Can't Knock the Hustle" with Beyoncé stepping in to perform the vocals originally sung by Mary J. Blige.

Later in the concert the couple's 14-year-old daughter Blue Ivy joined her father on stage during "Feelin' It." The talented teenager performed the piano solo that closed the 1996 track drawing a standing ovation from fans.

Blue Ivy's appearance comes months after Jay-Z spoke proudly about her musical abilities in an interview with GQ revealing that she has perfect pitch and has largely taught herself to play the piano.

"She won't let us get her a teacher. She doesn't want it to be a job," he said. "If she hears a song, she'll be like, 'Play it again,' and then she'll teach herself."

Blue Ivy has become a familiar face during Beyoncé's live performances first joining the Renaissance World Tour in 2023 before becoming a standout performer during the Cowboy Carter World Tour in 2025.

Her viral solo dance performance to Beyoncé's hit "Déjà Vu" earned widespread praise from fans, who affectionately dubbed it "Déjà Blue."

Jay-Z and Beyoncé who are also parents to 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir continue to showcase their family's growing musical legacy as the rapper celebrates three decades in the industry.
