Louis Tomlinson has opened up about his grief following the death of bandmate Liam Payne after almost a year since his death.
On October 16, 2024, Liam fell from his hotel room’s balcony during his stay in Buenos Aires which proved to be fatal.
The singer's body was flown to UK in November where the funeral took place, which was attended by his bandmates, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan along with his former bandmate Zayn Malik.
The Walls singer, who has been promoting his new album How Did We Get Here?, opened up about his mourning process.
The father-of-one called Liam’s death “unjust and frustrating”.
“You know, there’s still a level in my head [where it feels] unjust and frustrating that he’s not with us anymore.”, the singer said.
Speaking to Rolling Stone UK magazine, Louis said the group’s big milestone of 15th anniversary, which was the first since Liam’s death, was uncomfortable.
“It was really uncomfortable, actually, the 15th anniversary, because the [collective] feeling to celebrate is as important, if not more important than ever, on behalf of Liam.”
He also admitted that he is sill living with those feelings.
Louis also spoke about Liam and how he was a “misunderstood” person at the time of his death.
