Andrew Garfield is making his candid thoughts known about the clip that has been used in many edits of the actor, wherein he put on his glasses while presenting at the 2025 Golden Globes.
The Academy Award winner stood beside Kerry Washington in the clip from ten months ago, and put his glasses on as she said her lines and he adjusted his shirt.
In a conversation with Josh Horowitz for MTV, the Boy A star decided to give a play-by-play of his exact thoughts during the moment, which are shockingly different from what anyone could’ve ever imagined.
Andrew started off by declaring that he was calm before a sense of unbridled terror took over him, when he realised that he was surrounded by his peers and the people he greatly admires and has for a very long time.
The Social Network star then disclosed that when he looked at the teleprompter he thought, “'Oh f***. I can’t actually see the teleprompter. Did I bring my glasses? Yes, they’re in my right hand. Okay, great, now I can see.’”
Even the attention Andrew drew to his slightly unbuttoned shirt was a failed attempt to cover up his chest, since he felt like he was showing off more of it than he wanted.
“And then, everyone thinks I’m trying to be sexy. But in truth, neurosis is, I guess, kinda sexy ultimately,” the Golden Globe winner added.
Notably, the clip had caused fans and social media users to swoon over the beloved actor when it had first come out.
Yes, Andrew is dating A Complete Unknown star Monica Barbaro since the beginning of this year.
