American singer Taylor Swift got engaged to footballer Travis Kelce in August.
The pop star announced the engagement on August 26, 2025, almost two weeks after she revealed her twelfth studio album on his podcast New Heights.
The announcement was shared on Instagram with the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”.
While the pair has shared a glimpse of their proposal with the world and Taylor has shared how it happened in her promotional interviews for The Life of a Showgirl, the singer is assured that there are things she will never share.
Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's On Air radio show, Taylor said she has to figure out what to share with the world.
“I gotta figure out like ways to make sure that I do have things that are just between us, and thankfully, we do have a lot of those things.”, the singer said.
The Lover singer said that the exact moment when Travis popped the question is something that will always be theirs.
“That moment in particular is one that's always just going to be ours”, the pop icon said about the proposal.
She also mentioned that she is “happy” to share the news with her fans.
