Travis Kelce appears to have dropped a massive hint about Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship since the two were speculated to be estranged amid the It Ends With Us legal drama.
The National Football League player, who is the global popstar’s fiancé, was joined by his brother Jason Kelce as the duo reviewed the Gossip Girl alum’s performance in the 2005 movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
The Philadelphia Eagles player stated in the first episode of New Heights Film Club, the sporty duo’s podcast, “It is also the film debut of our friend Blake Lively. She killed it. Absolutely wonderful as Bridget.”
Travis then added that he “identified the most with” with the Another Simple Favor star’s character Bridget Vreeland, since she plays an athlete.
Although, Jason poked fun at her poor running form in the film his tight end brother defended Blake by saying that it would be challenging to run while reciting lines.
Soon after the episode was posted, fans figured out that it was actually filmed back in October of last year.
However, many netizens also added that the full episode being posted now is probably a strategic and well thought out move in light of the actress’s explosive legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
Internet users speculate that this, coupled with Taylor’s song Cancelled! which is rumoured to be the singer’s way of defending Blake, is to shut down chatter that their friendship is ruined.
Yes, Blake subtly showed her support for Taylor and her brand new album by liking the singer’s Instagram post celebrating The Life of a Showgirl.
