Jennifer Lopez maintains mutual respect with Ben Affleck after divorce

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may have called it quits earlier this year, but insiders say the former power couple have finally found their sweet spot.

The 56-year-old superstar, known for her chart-topping hits, filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024, on what would have been their second wedding anniversary.

Their split was finalised in January 2025, closing yet another dramatic chapter in their decades-long love story.

But according to Page Six, there’s no bad blood, in fact, quite the opposite.

“They like each other so much more when they’re not married to each other,” a source revealed.

“She’s the glamorous diva superstar on a pedestal, and he’s the roguish cad who keeps her at a distance. As long as they play their parts, they’re perfect.”

Proving there’s still mutual respect, the pair made their first public appearance together since the split at the New York premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman, which the 53-year-old actor produced through his company, Artists Equity.

Ever the gentleman, The Town star gushed about his ex-wife’s performance, calling her “amazing” and “born to play” the lead role.

Meanwhile, the On the Floor hitmaker graciously returned the compliment, saying, “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made… and I will always give him that credit.”

American singer Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindled their romance in April 2021, nearly two decades after calling off their first engagement. 

The couple got engaged again in April 2022 and tied the knot in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony on July 16, 2022.
