Miley Cryus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. As a child, she earned the nickname "Smiley Miley" due to her cheerful personality.

Even though her father was initially hesitant about her joining the entertainment industry, Miley landed a role in an episode of his TV series Doc and later appeared in the 2003 film Big Fish.

Her big break came when she got the lead role in Disney Channel series named Hannah Montana. The show’s soundtrack shattered records, becoming a massive hit as it sold more than three million copies.

To support her music career, the pop sensation went on a national tour called Best of Both Worlds. Two of her most popular concerts were filmed and turned into aa 3D movie, which made over a $30 million during its opening weekend.

In 2008, Miley gained even more success with her hit song See You Again. In the same year, she launched another album Breakout and lent her voice to one of the lead roles in the animated movie Bolt.

Miley has had several high-profile relationships over the year. The singer has dated Nick Jonas and Justin Gaston during her early career and later had relationships with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Cody Simpson.

Her most talked about relationship was with Liam Hemsworth, with whom she tied the knot in December 2018 after years of on-again, off-again dating. However, their union was short lived as the couple parted ways in August 2019.
