Miley Cyrus recently made special mention of her dad Billy Ray Cyrus at Hollywood Walk of Fame event.
On May 22, the Flowers hit-maker received a star on the Walk of Fame where her mother Tish Cyrus, sister Brandi Cyrus and fiancé Maxx Morando were present at the star-studded ceremony.
Miley’s father was visibly absent from the big day, but she still gave him an emotional shoutout in her speech.
After receiving the award, the singer addressed the crowd which included friends Anya Taylor-Joy and Donatella Versace.
“My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer, so does a star on the Walk of Fame, by the way,” quipped the Hannah Montana alum.
She went on saying, “It's not about the force, but it's about the repetition.”
“What feels so special to me about this star is that it's an accumulation of devotion,” explained the songstress.
Earlier in 2025, Miley spoke on the Reclaiming podcast that “half of us weren't speaking to each other at one point” but then she kind of got everyone back together last year.
The singer also reunited with her father in May 2025 to celebrate her brother Braison Cyrus’ 31st birthday, sharing a snap from the family on her social media at the time.
A year later, after this honour, the 33-year-old has nothing but gratitude for her loved ones.
“This is where it gets me,” remarked the Last Song actress while speaking on the Walk of Fame event.
She thanked her family, her future family, parents, mom, siblings, friends and collaborators in the end.
