Victoria Beckham has recently revealed real reason behind the launch of the beauty brand, HIKU.

The former Spice Girl shares that her daughter Harper’s struggle with acne inspired her to enter into beauty industry.

The aspiring entrepreneur has introduced her debut beauty range aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha, inspired by South Korean cosmetics, this summer.

This is the first time Victoria gets candid about her daughter’s business venture during an appearance on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast.

“Harper came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin,” begins 51-year-old.

Victoria recalls that her daughter “used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she was enticed by beauty brands and she was putting a lot of products on her face that was not suitable for her skin and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really, really bad”.

While relating to her daughter’s acne issue, Victoria mentions, “Harper said at the time, ‘I want to create a brand because I know what I want and I don't want other people to have to go through what I have been through’”.

The entrepreneur, whose fashion and beauty business is worth a whopping £500million, points out that her 14-year-old daughter approached her with PowerPoint presentations to convince her.

“One PowerPoint about this brand that she wanted to create because she was struggling with her skin,” remarks Victoria.

Although the fashion designer confesses she’s proud of all her children, Harper is someone who’s “very ambitious and very appropriate”.
