Victoria Beckham has finally reacted to fresh headlines surrounding her family’s private life.
The 52-year-old fashion designer appeared on Emma Grede’s Aspire podcast, where she reflected on the idea of “Brand Beckham” and how it was built over the years.
The conversation comes after Brooklyn publicly distanced himself from the family earlier this year, claiming he was no longer part of the so-called brand and describing the Beckham household as “performative”.
However, the entrepreneur pushed back on the narrative, insisting the family empire was never deliberately constructed.
She said, “When David and I first met it was never our intention to start a brand.”
She continued, “People talk about ‘Brand Beckham’ - that has happened so organically. When I first met David, I mean he was a Brylcreem boy.”
The designer went on to explain how their early careers shaped public perception, adding that both she and her husband, David Beckham, were focused on separate professional paths while working with global brands.
“We don’t have any deals together. David does what David does, I do what I do.”
The Spice Girls alum also spoke about parenting in the public eye, saying she has always tried to protect her children while supporting their individual ambitions, including Cruz Beckham’s music career and Harper Beckham’s growing interest in beauty and skincare.
Moreover, she added that her focus has always remained on raising “kind and hard-working” children while allowing them to build their own identities.
