Angeline Jolie secures legal win over Brad Pitt amid Winery dispute

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s legal dispute over the Château Miraval winery is moving ahead after the latter’s request.

The F1 actor’s attorney had filed a motion requesting private communications, which the Maleficent actress’s lawyers argued were protected by attorney-client privilege laws.

As per People, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ciny Pánuco wrote that Pitt, 62, “has not met his burden” to prove that the communications shouldn’t be protected, adding that further discoveries could potentially rebut Jolie’s claims, but Pitt has not done so as of yet.

The Foxfire star’s attorney said to the outlet, "this is an important victory for Ms. Jolie,” adding, "this is part of Mr. Pitt’s pattern of demanding control over anything Angelina, including control over her communications with her own attorneys.”

Paul Murphy, the Couture actress’s lawyer additionally expressed gratitude for the Court of Appeal and the trial court for making the decision in their favour.

Meanwhile an insider close to Pitt re-emphasised that the judge allowed his team to revisit the decision as more evidence comes to light, adding that it is notable the number of documents Jolie has withheld as privileged information.
