Marvel thinking to cast Sydney Sweeney in X-Men reboot

Marvel Studios is looking for stars like Sydney Sweeney for the role of Emma Frost in its upcoming X-Men reboot.

One social media account, Insider @MyTimeToShineH, posts a news of Marvel casting on X. formerly Twitter.

They wrote, “Sydney Sweeney is being eyed for the role of Emma Frost in the MCU.”

Within few hours of going live, the post instantly gained traction, garnering over 2.2 million views.

It is pertinent to note that the Euphoria actress’ name has been going around in superhero casting conversations since she made an appearance in Madame Web.

Interestingly, fans give mixed reactions, some express elation over the rumour and linked her to characters like Power Girl and Black Cat while some argue that she doesn’t fit for a character in a Marvel movie.

For those unaware, Emma Frost first appeared as a villain and the White Queen of the Hellfire Club before joining the X-Men. She ran the Massachusetts Academy to train young mutants called the Hellions.

Meanwhile, the X-Men reboot, which is scheduled for 2028 theatrical release, will be directed by Jake Schreier and written by Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo.
