David E. Kelley fuels excitement over 'Big Little Lies' return

David E. Kelley has shared a new update on Big Little Lies.

During the New York City premiere of his new Apple TV+ series Margo’s Got Money Troubles on April 8, the 70-year-old producer told the publisher that efforts to revive the acclaimed HBO show are in progress.

According to People magazine, he said, “We're getting the band back together, and it should be a good run again,” while noting he’s “not allowed” to share further details.

He previously told the outlet in June 2025 that although the main cast were not yet “under contract,” there was strong interest in continuing the story, adding that “everyone is very committed to it.”

For the unversed, the Big Little Lies premiered in 2017 with seven episodes, then returned in 2019 for season 2, which brought Meryl Streep into the story.

Meanwhile, the show featured stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoë Kravitz in its cast.

By September, Francesca Sloane had also come on board to write the season 3 premiere, according to Deadline.
