Saturday Night Live’s cold open shows gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Donald Trump’s infamous tweet, and his wife Melania’s unexpected speech distancing herself from Jeffrey Epstein.
The POTUS (played by James Austin Johnson) could be seen with the White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt (played by Ashley Padilla) dictating the Truth Social post with the phrase ‘Praise be to Allah,’ which she said put her in a tough spot, given her title.
“Don’t worry about that Karoline, like I said to Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem right before I fired them, you’re doing a terrific job!” to which she replied by saying that she loves him too.
“All three of those were played by Ashley it’s an interesting detail” the cast member added, breaking the fourth wall.
James’s Trump then receives a call from the First Lady (played by Chloe Fineman) who said, ““Listen, I decided I should do a big, random speech, completely out of nowhere, and say I am not Epstein victim. Is that good?”
“Darling, I gotta admit, this sounds a little insane. Who are you? Me?” he responded before Melania added that she would also say that she did not help out the Gilgo Beach serial killer, and only barely partied with Diddy.
The businessman then excuses himself from the former model by telling her that he has a meeting with the deceased former President Ronald Reagan.
