Robert Pattinson still reflects on his dramatic acting choices from Twilight, two decades after his breakout as Edward Cullen.
Pattinson starred in vampire fantasy films opposite to Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black).
In an interview with Vogue, the Die My Love actor looked back on some of his distinctive acting style, including one he didn’t notice until recently.
"There was one thing I did see the other day, which is quite funny, where I'm sitting down in the cafeteria the first time, and I've literally never noticed this, and I, for some reason, I go like this on the table to sit," he said.
Explaining what he means, Pattinson pressed his index finger and middle finger on each hand into the table to lower himself down.
"I thought it was an elegant, vampiric thing to do. I think that was what the thought process was," he continued. "But looking at it 20 years later, you're like, 'Huh, it's very strange.'"
Despite his strange performance, The Batman star shared his admiration for the film, saying that he “really love that movie” but isn’t sure if he could deliver that same level of performance today.
"Everybody was approaching it so earnestly and took it really, really, really seriously,” he said. “It's like it's very real, which is strange for a movie about a vampire romance."
However, he still “envies” his past self’s abilities to take it so seriously.
Pattison is currently busy promoting his new film, The Drama starring opposite Zendaya.
The film is now running in theatres.
