Matt Damon recently shared his honest experience about working on one of Hollywood’s ambitious projects in his acting career.

The American actor spoke on Today show where he revealed that Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is one of the hardest movies he’s ever done over the years.

“It was a really ambitious idea, and the way Christopher works is incredibly ambitious,” explained the 55-year-old, who plays the role of Greek king Odysseus in the highly anticipated movie.

Elaborating on the director’s modus operandi, Matt mentioned that Chris wanted to do everything in camera on IMAX.

“It was more like an expedition than a movie. It was an odyssey making it,” noted The Martian actor.

The Odyssey, which wrapped filming in August 2026, was a huge production and according to Matt, this movie could the last of its kind.

Interestingly, the director of the forthcoming movie is known for relying on real world locations instead of CGI.

Even the Interstellar actor pointed out that Christopher “doesn’t make it easy on us or on himself but that’s the joy of it”.

“I am really proud that it took a lot to get the footage that we got and I am excited for people to see it,” added Matt.
