Matt Damon is giving insight into his upcoming project with director Christopher Nolan with a nod to his longtime pal Ben Affleck.
The Good Will Hunting co-stars have apparently discussed the highly anticipated film adaptation of The Odyssey, coming out in July next year.
In the latest issue of the Empire magazine, the Academy Award winner stated, “When I got home, Ben [Affleck] was asking me about it. And I said, ‘Every location on this movie would have been the toughest location on any film I’ve ever done.”
Matt went on to add, “and every day of shooting would have been the toughest day of shooting on any other movie I’ve ever done.’”
The actor is playing the lead role of Odysseus in the upcoming film, and has talked about the various challenges, such as reluctantly having to grow a long beard as per the celebrated director’s requirement.
Meanwhile, the Oppenheimer actor and his best friend Ben are also set to appear alongside each other in the Netflix film The Rip, releasing early next year.
Notably, fans of the duo have taken to their social media to playfully hint at a romantic connection between the two due to Matt implying that the 53-year-old was waiting for him at home.
Matt and Ben have starred in Field Of Dreams, School Ties, Chasing Amy and a number of other films together.
