Blake Lively’s snarky reaction to Ryan Reynolds over Comic-Con appearance

Blake Lively recently made tongue-in-cheek comment after Ryan Reynolds appeared as Deadpool at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26.

Sharing rare insight into her family life, Lively was seen having a video call from her husband Reynolds with his Deadpool facemask.

“When you are reading a Captain America book and you get interrupted by a FaceTime from Dad,” A Simple Favour actress wrote a cheeky caption on her Instagram Story.

Reynolds’ appearance at the event sparked speculations about his possible return as Deadpool in upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie

For the unversed, the Free Guy actor reportedly walked the floor at San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday as he took photos with fans while dressed as Deadpool.

Reynolds, who first played the character in the eponymous 2016 film, marked its 10th anniversary by appearing at the annual fan convention.

Later, the actor asked for a role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday before Robert Downey Jr, who stars as Doctor Doom, told him it had already been filmed.

While showing up in the crowd, Reynolds said, “This seems an awfully expensive way to announce a film. When do you start filming?”

To which Downey Jr, surrounded by the rest of the movie’s cast on stage, responded, “It’s in the can bro, look around you, did you bump your head?”

Reynolds-Lively’s career scrutiny after high-profile legal case

Lively’s comment came months after her legal battle ended with the actress settling with Justin Baldoni, creating intrigue in Hollywood.

Earlier, a source close to Lively told Heat World, “Hollywood is a very catty place, so people have been sharpening their claws and Blake knows it.”

Meanwhile, Reynolds also faced growing scrutiny in Hollywood as the industry insiders claimed his reputation has been affected by the high-profile legal dispute, and studios have been reluctant to involve the actor in their upcoming projects.

Despite concerns, the actor still received support from Marvel’s Deadpool franchise following the box office success of Deadpool & Wolverine last year.
