Taylor Swift is beaming with joy as she attends her first-ever Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles on June 9.
The American singer-songwriter feels very lucky to get the opportunity to write a song for the latest movie, I Knew It, I Knew You, and even produced alongside her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff.
Interestingly, Taylor previously revealed she was five-year-old when the original Toy Story was released back in 1995.
So after more than 30 years, the singer is over the moon as being a part of Toy Story universe is something she has always dreamt of.
Interestingly, Taylor also delivers heartfelt speech at the premiere on Tuesday night, thanking the creators for giving her the chance to write a track for the latest chapter in Pixar’s most famous franchise.
“It means the world to me to be a small part of the universe of these movies. Toy Story 5 is my favourite out of all Toy Story movies,” says the 36-year-old during her speech.
The Cruel Summer singer shares that she’s “so lucky to be here” and even wants to “thank all the creators at Disney and Pixar for the work they put into this movie”.
While praising the movie, Taylor describes Toy Story 5 as “insanely beautiful as well as a masterpiece”.
“We are so lucky to have this movie. The work is amazing and hope the creators and cast are proud of themselves,” continues the Blank Space crooner.
Taylor also gushes over Joan Cusack, saying, she has “such an extraordinary job as Jessie and it was an honour to write for the character”.
The Lover singer also considers herself “lucky” to write this movie and even expresses gratitude to Andrew Stanton and McKenna Harris for giving her once in a lifetime experience.
Before concluding, Taylor reveals that she’s here because of someone special, whom she calls the “architect of Toy Story musical universe”.
He is none other than Randy Newman, a pianist and Toy Story singer as she gushes about him at the premiere.
“He is the king of making us feel to pull out our heartstrings and making us laugh,” she adds.
Following her speech, Taylor invites Randy onstage to perform ‘You Have Got A friend in Me’ song during the premiere.
Meanwhile, Toy Story 5, starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan, is set to release in theatres on June 19.
