Charlie Sheen shared the real reason behind not returning to his hit show, Two and a Half Men.

The American actor revealed that he was offered to make a comeback to the show for seasons eight and nine.

“I got the call, ‘We want to renegotiate the giant contract for season eight and nine,’” said Charlie during a chat on The Joe Rogan podcast.

Despite making over $50, 000 an hour, the actor explained why he refused to return to the show.

“I was on the phone. I said, ‘I don't think so. I don't think we should do it. If I go back there, it’s going to go really bad, I just know it,’” he told Joe.

Reflecting on his decision, Charlie mentioned that he “had run up against a thing. I had lost passion for the show. I'd lost passion for the process”.

Although the actor admitted he was making “$54,000 an hour, that’s pre-taxes… I got kind of crowbarred into it. Well, not crowbarred. I had to ultimately say yes. I got to own that”.

For the unversed, Charlie was dismissed from the show back in 2011 because of his erratic behaviour, substance abuse, and an aggressive feud with the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre at the time.

Meanwhile, Charlie admitted he “was the wrong guy in that moment, in that pocket of time” in his recent podcast.
