Reese Witherspoon hints at playing ’Legally Blonde’ role again

Reese Witherspoon recently dropped major hints at playing her famous role in the Legally Blonde prequel, Elle.

The American actress spoke to Extra at an FYC event for The Morning Show Season 4 in Los Angeles and shared whether she would like to reprise her Elle Woods character in the prequel.

Reese responded, “I would love to do it again because it’s like it’s my ‘superhero’.”

The Hello Sunshine founder went on saying, “It’s like my Marvel character.”

“I would love to play her again,” she told the outlet.

Reese reasoned that the character “has to be perfect like Tom Cruise did it right… He only came out with Top Gun when it was absolutely right”.

The Sweet Home Alabama actress praised Tom for “nailing” his character in the movie.

She also gushes over Adam Sandler and said that he brought back Happy Gilmore at the right time.

Given these legendary stars' move, Reese added, “We gonna get there and we are gonna do it.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Wild actress gave new update about The Morning Show season 5, which is expected to release next year.

“Season 5 has been so fun so far… We just have a lot of questions, big questions about what is the future of journalism and broadcast media,” explained the 50-year-old.

Reese opened up that so “many new guest stars including Sean Hayes, Jeff Daniels have come in an incredible way”.

Meanwhile, the actress reflected on working with Jennifer Aniston on the show, calling it “extraordinary”.
