Phoebe Dynevor has recently set the record straight on not returning to Bridgerton for another season.
The English actress, who shares the screen in season 1 with Rege- Jean Page, explains why she didn’t appear in seasons three and four.
Now breaking her silence, Phoebe reveals to Collider, “When the first season came out, they didn’t know what they needed to put in play.”
“We were the ones that got away — in a certain way,” says the 30-year-old star.
When asked if she ever wants to return for season five and reprises her role of Daphne on the show, Phoebe responds, “I can only speak for myself, I would always come back if I was asked.”
The actress comment comes after showrunner Jess Brownell hints at a possible return for Simon and Daphne.
“We would love to potentially have them back at some point, but I think, logistically, we want to make sure we bring them back when we have something really meaty for them,” she told Variety in February.
Jess added, “And to have them come back to say a line at a funeral [in season 4] and just prove that they were there, it wouldn’t feel right for many reasons.”
