Nick Jonas is swapping pop anthems for punches, as he’s set to star in the upcoming action-thriller Bodyman.
The 33-year-old singer-turned-actor joins director Gary Fleder’s latest project, which is being showcased to buyers at Berlin’s European Film Market this week.
Bodyman promises explosive family drama, following a violent power struggle at a Christmas gathering when a quirky billionaire hands over his private military empire to his loyal bodyguard, played by Nick, rather than his own children.
The script, penned by Bryon Balasco, is due to hit the set in June 2026.
But the singer isn’t just starring as he’s also producing the film through his Powered by Jonas company alongside Spencer Berman, in partnership with Erik Feig’s Picturestart.
He’s no stranger to this creative trio, having worked with Fleder and Balasco on the hit TV show Kingdom from 2014 to 2017.
Off-screen, Nick has opened up about a deeply personal chapter.
In a recent On Purpose podcast, he shared harrowing details of his daughter Malti’s early life.
Born via surrogate in January 2022, she arrived tiny, weighing just 1 pound 11 ounces, and had to be resuscitated.
Nick recounted the nerve-wracking months in the NICU, praising the “truly angelic” nurses who cared for her during those first 100 days.
