The Jonas Brothers recently confirmed that Camp Rock 3 was in the works, after they broke the internet by inviting Demi Lovato to share the stage with them on their tour.
Now, a teaser of the film expected to come out in the summer of 2026 has been released, but netizens do not seem too enthusiastic.
Since the clip did not explicitly show the This Is Me singer, and she has only been confirmed as an executive producer on the film, fans appear to be disappointed.
However, it did feature a voiceover from her, as well as her character Mitchie’s duet with the DNCE member’s character Shane for Wouldn't Change a Thing was also included in the first look at the upcoming trilogy.
A majority of netizens also argued that the boy band was too old to be reprising their roles in the teenage musical.
“Um does Disney not know that Demi was the main draw? Ain't no one care about the Jonas Brothers,” one netizen wrote on X, as others echoed, “If demi isnt in it then we aint watching.”
“CAMP ROCK 3” was not on anyone’s 2025 bingo card. At this point the Jonas Brothers aren’t reviving a franchise, they’re speedrunning their own mythology,” a third internet user critiqued, as a fourth added, “They should call it Camp Rent because everybody in this cast has bills now.”
Demi was the female protagonist, Mitchie Torres, who is initially a shy aspiring singer that slowly grows more confident over the course of the sequel.
