Miley Cyrus is opening up about her iconic role as Hannah Montana, revealing if someone else can fill her shoes and how she plans to honour the show’s 20th anniversary.
The Flowers singer has previously teased a special celebration for the occasion in 2026, and reflected on her character while chatting about her new song in Avatar: Fire and Ash.
In the interview with Billboard News, the newly engaged singer talked about her growing up with her Hannah Montana audience and fanbase.
The So Undercover actress said that when she was fifteen they were fifteen “and now I’m looking out as a grown woman and I look out and see other grown people.”
Miley stated that she wanted to honour the longevity of the relationship she had built with her fans, adding that the fantasy of the character transitioned into her real life.
The interviewer then tried to determine her stance on a reboot, asking if she would be interested in a potential Hannah Montana revamp with a fresh cast or not.
“I don’t know if there is a new Hannah. This is the only Hannah,” the Wrecking Ball singer replied, essentially conveying that she was irreplaceable as the character.
Notably, Miley has contributed the new song Dream As One for the upcoming trilogy in Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Miley was 13 when the first episode of Hannah Montana aired back in 2006.
