Bad Bunny, who is known for being a notable singer, was announced as a performer in the 2026 Super Bowl half time.
After NFL’s choice sparked debates, the 31-year-old rapper addressed the backlash and the threats to the show during his much-awaited appearance on SNL.
In his monologue, Bunny seemingly poked fun at news channel and the ICE warnings that were earlier issued by Corey Lewandowski at The Benny Show.
The singer began by admitting that only he but “Fox news” is also very happy with the announcement of him being a headliner.
The comedy programme then went on to show an edited clip of various reports from the channel announcing: “Bad Bunny is my favourite musician and he should be even next president.”
One of the X users pointed out that it feels he is responding to “ICE threats” that he recently got from Lewandowski.
This move was seen as a jab at the backlash as Lewandowski, the former lobbyist for Donald Trump, pointed out “it’s so shameful” that the singer was chosen despite his “hate” for America.
The author warned that they are “going to do enforcement everywhere” to make the country safe, following the “directive from the president.”
This came after the MONACO artist skipped touring the United States over his concerns of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.
However, Bunny admitted he doesn’t hate America in another interview.
