The Batman: Part II eying another A-list actor in its already star-studded ensemble cast.

Following the casting of Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent and Dent’s wife, the production is now looking for a patriarch.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Charles Dance is in talks to play Harvey Dent’s father in the upcoming sequel.

Dance played Tywin Lannister in four seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

He also has credits in Alien 3, The Imitation Game, Gosford Park, The First Omen, The Day of the Jackal and played Dr. Frankenstein’s father in last year’s Guillermo del Toro’s Oscar-nominated, Frankenstein.

The Batman: Part II, starring Robert Pattinson in titular role, is directed by Matt Reeves and is aiming to begin production next month, and co-wrote the script with Mattson Tomlin.

The cast also includes Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffery Wright as Jim Gordon, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred and Barry Keoghan as an Arkham Asylum inmate.

The Batman: Part II is slated for release on October 1, 2027.
