Amanda Seyfried recently made surprising admission about the upcoming Mamma Mia 3 movie.
The American actress spoke to PEOPLE at this year's Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Gala on April 16 where she discussed the long-awaited third installment of the musical rom-com.
During her chat, Amanda, who plays the role of protagonist Sophie in the first two movies, shared that Mamma Mia 3 would be made in the future.
“It’s just interesting that ... it’ll happen. I know it’s going to happen. If there’s a need, you know,” said the 40-year-old.
The Housemaid actress disclosed that she didn’t have any new update on the movie, which was in development as reported by PEOPLE earlier this year.
However, last year in May, producer Judy Cramer said the movie’s script had been completed, per Deadline.
While coming back the interview, Amanda explained that her co-stars in her forthcoming movie, Octet, even gave her some ideas for the third installment.
“The girls in Octet were like, 'Can we be in it?' And I was like, 'Yeah.' It’s great, actually,” she added.
